School books should be for everyone

“This fall in Denmark we launched an initiative towards schools and students with the purpose of implementing more inclusive tools for teachers when using Robobraille. It gives them the opportunity to present their materials in alternative formats which supports education for all. To feel the acclaim of being a BETT Award nominee has been a big motivation for our work. And being named winner, we feel an even greater urge to pursue our cause”, says Lars Ballieu Christensen, RoboBraille coordinator.
The educational field is among the foremost important for RoboBraille. “RoboBraille is a new way to make written materials accessible for visually impaired and dyslexic students. By doing this people, who until now have had a hard time achieving an educational degree, are given a new chance to succeed in society” he continues.
2010 will be the year of networking, and the team behind RoboBraille is very interested in collaborating with organizations all over the world to help visually impaired and dyslexic students of all nationalities .
