I want to make a DAISY-book

When you forward a document to a RoboBraille DAISY-account, it is converted into a DAISY-file. Read below and follow instructions to configure your document correctly. The instructions are based on use of Microsoft Office Word 2007.

  1. Add a title to the document
  2. Make sure the document text  in begins with a level 1 headline (use the ’Styles’ menu)
  3. Define the language settings of the document: 
    1. Save the document as a word 2003 .xml file 
    2. Open a notepad -> click ’files’ -> open your document
    3. Search for all language codes e.g.  w: lang w:val:=”DA”
    4. Replace the language codes with the code  for the language you want to use
      e.g. w: lang w: val=”FR”, if your document is in French
  4. Attach your custom document to an email and send it to daisy@robobraille.org 
  5. When your document is processed by RoboBraille, you will receive an email with a link to a zip file.    Please note that the file size affects the processing time.  
  6. Open the email. Click on the link and select “save”. 
  7. Right click the saved file and select “unzip” 
  8. Open the file ncc.html in your DAISY-player
