07.11.08 RoboBraille presented at the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs

Today, the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs was hosting the Nordic conference “Handicappedes synlighed på olika arenor”, focusing on the exposure of disabled people in the media.
RoboBraille was presented to the delegates from various Nordic interest groups, researches as well as Danish Minister for Culture, Carina Christensen.  “Basically, our idea was to give the visitors a ‘hands on’ experience of RoboBraille, so today has been about demonstrating how to e-mail a document for the service and presenting the different voices included in the service”, says PR-coordinator Linda Kristiansen . who did the presentation with project manager Rikke Syberg .

15.10.08: RoboBraille finalist for e-Inclusion Award 2008

RoboBraillle, the award-winning email service for people with a visual impairment or reading difficulties, has been selected as one of the five medal winners in the e-Accessibility category of the e-Inclusion Awards 2008.

The awards will be presented at the European e-Inclusion Ministerial Conference and Exhibition in Vienna from 30 November to 2 December 2008. A gala dinner will be held during this event at which the medallists will be honored and the overall category winners announced.
