Use RoboBraille – directions step by step
- Open your email program and create a new message.
- Attach the document you want translated by RoboBraille.
- You may leave the subject field empty, but please note that:
- If you wish to have the document returned as an audio file it is possible to control the speech rate. Use up to 3 plusses or minuses in the subject field of the email to set the speech rate from very slow (---) to very fast (+++).
- If you wish to have the document returned in Braille format, you may specify which kind of Braille you want in the subject field – for more information about character sets please follow this link
- If you wish to have the document returned in a different type of format, you may specify what type of format you want in the subject field:
- RoboBraille is able to convert image documents (.pdf, .gif, .tiff, and .jpg files) into the following formats: .txt, .rtf, .htm, .html, or .pdf. When specifying the format you want, please write either: txt, rtf, htm, html, or pdf in the subject field.
- RoboBraille is able to convert .doc, .docx, and .rtf files into .txt files. Please type txt in the subject field.
- Email your document to the RoboBraille email address that complies with your need. For example, if you want your text translated into British English speech, submit your document to britspeech@robobraille.org.
RoboBraille is able to handle one document per email. If you wish to have more than one document converted or translated by RoboBraille, please submit them in separate emails.
