New input and output formats for RoboBraille
Now RoboBraille supports a range of new input and output formats. Among other things, this means that you can send an image file – for example a scanned document – to britspeech@robobraille.org or eightdot@robobraille.org. In response RoboBraille automatically converts the image file to an accessible text file and subsequently send respectively an audio or a Braille version of the text back to you.
The new input and output formats are attached to RoboBraille’s conversion function. That is the service that the users by means of convert@robobraille.org can use for converting for example a jpg file to a txt file. But the new formats will also strengthen RoboBraille’s other functions – for example the text to speech-function. The text to speech function will also support the new formats, as the conversion of for example jpg files to text files happens automatically, when you send an email to britspeech@robobraille.org. The same thing is applicable for RoboBraille’s text to Braille-accounts.
