18.12.2008 Invitation to test: New functionality in RoboBraille

Over the course of the past few months, we have improved the RoboBraille service significantly in a number of areas, and the service is now capable of processing all types of pdf files as well as scanned documents in jpg, tiff and gif format. Before we announce the new capabilities to the public, we would appreciate a comprehensive test of the RoboBraille service. We therefore invite you to contribute to test.

02.12.2008: RoboBraille wins e-Inclusion Award

RoboBraille was named winner of The e-Accessibility Award last night when the European Commission was hosting The 2008 e-Inclusion Awards at the City Hall in Vienna. The purpose of the e-Inclusion Awards is to set focus on the innovative use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to help digitally and socially excluded Europeans.

07.11.2008: RoboBraille presented at the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs

Today, the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs was hosting the Nordic conference “Handicappedes synlighed på olika arenor”, focusing on the exposure of disabled people in the media.
