Producing Braille with RoboBraille

Using RoboBraille makes it easy to produce Braille on the basis of digital text. All that you require is access to a digital document, computer and an e-mail account. By sending your document as an attachment to one of the RoboBraille accounts, the text is then translated into the desired Braille format and returned to you by e-mail. RoboBraille supports many different languages, and it is the language of the original text which governs the output. For example, if you send a document in Danish to the Danish RoboBraille account, you will receive Danish Braille in return. We do not produce Braille across languages.

By sending an e-mail to sekspunkt@robobraille.org, you will then receive a document which has been converted into 6-dot contracted Braille (Grade 2).

This format could, for instance, be very useful, if you need to print large amounts of text on your Braille printer. It could also be an advantage, if you want to read large amounts of text on a transportable media, which otherwise does not support 6-dot Braille.
